The region is rich in mineral resources. Its share in Ukraine's volume of the extraction of manganese ore is 100%, (iron ore approximately 80%, and coal 13.5%). The region is also rich in deposits of uranium, titanium, zirconium, rutile and ilmenite ores, fire clays, granite, building stone, limestone and sandstone, supplying a wealth of industries, and providing exceptional investment opportunities. Reserves being explored include nickel and talc magnesite ores, dolomite, bauxite, brown coal, gold, and mineral water.
The oblast has high export and import potential. Russia remains the major foreign economic partner of the region, followed by the UK, Switzerland and the USA.
Assistance and Support For New Business Investors
The head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council announced the formation of Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency, managed by the council and designed to provide investors with support to implement their projects.
