Our Economic Development team has a vital role in shaping Cardiff`s future. Working with local business and partner organisations, we look for the best ways to move forward Cardiff`s economy.
What we are responsible for:
- Working with partners to develop and implement the Cardiff Economic Strategy 2007-2012, Competitive Capital, implement the Economic Action Plan and produce an Annual Review.
- Key economic research and analysis on regeneration activities, e.g. Cardiff Bay and Economic Sectors.
- Developing economic regeneration performance indicators to enable benchmarking and the sharing of best practice
- Producing a bi-annual Economic Analysis Bulletin.
- Producing Cardiff Essential Facts.
- Developing and implementing the Cardiff Broadband Strategy with partners, as part of the Council's 'Connected City' strategy.
