Assistance and Support For New Business Investors
Capital Wales provides free advice and support to businesses looking to relocate from their existing premises, are looking for a location for that business expansion or are a new business start looking for that mix of quality of life combined with quality business support services.
Support available
Information on available business premises, manufacturing and warehousing units and office space is provided free from a comprehensive regional data base which is regularly updated and includes private and public sector owned properties available to rent and/or purchase. General business support and advice, including labour availability and skills, is available free from the 10 Local Authority partners across the region and this support is co-ordinated through Capital Wales,providing the client with a single contact point for all their initial enquiries. In suitable cases, financial support may also be available in the form of investment through Finance Wales, repayable grants from Welsh Government and some of the local Authorities also offer lower value financial assistance through the Local Investment Fund (LIF). Details can be provided if required but all will require production of a business plan which we may be able to assist with.

Existing Business Base
Capital Region is the main business region in Wales and has been the chosen location for businesses from virtually every sector.
A wide range of financial services, shared service and contact centres have located, benefiting from the large workforce available within a 30 minute commute. The region has also been successful in securing businesses in creative industries, food manufacture, media (particularly around the relocation of drama production for the BBC), aerospace, ranging from engine production to aircraft refurbishment, software and IT development, electronics and wafer development and production whilst maintaining its manufacturing and automotive base.
The region has also been successful in securing central government relocation out of London.
