Chiltern District Council
Key Competitive Attractions
Chiltern is one of the four districts of Buckinghamshire in south central England, and is named after the beautiful Chiltern Hills on which the District is situated.
Chiltern's excellent location provides great communications networks including a small section of the M25, which runs through Chiltern in the south-eastern corner, and the major roads, A413 and the A404. Chiltern Railways and London Undergrounds Metropolitan line provide regular and efficient railway services to the rest of the UK, and the main railway station is in Amersham. Chesham is served exclusively by the Underground and is the furthest tube station from central London.
The bank Halifax named Chiltern as having the best rural quality of life anywhere in Britain, in May 2008.
