Key Competitive Attractions
In a recent Quality of Life survey conducted by the Bank of Scotland, Aberdeenshire Council area came out top of 32 local authority areas in many sectors, including employment, housing, environment, education and health. The area as a whole is attractive, with beautiful scenery, a high quality of life, while the good transport infrastructure offers ease of access to the highlands and islands of Scotland, Glasgow and Edinburgh and the wider UK.
36% of residents are educated to degree level (well above the Scottish average) and only 10% of residents have no qualifications at all, and productivity in Aberdeenshire is higher than across both Scotland as a whole and the rest of the UK.
