Invest in Clyde Waterfront...
Clyde Waterfront is already a dynamic and exciting place for businesses to consider relocating. Around £2bn has already been invested in the area, mainly from the private sector. The total value of investment between 2003 and 2025 is estimated at around £5 - 6 billion.
- The area includes the highly successful International Financial Services District in the heart of Glasgow, which has seen major inward investment from major financial institutions in recent years.
- Pacific Quay has become home to Glasgow's Digital Media Quarter, offering a hub for creative and new media industries.
- The development of the SECC, including the new National Arena, and new hotels in the area means the area is a centre for business tourism.
- With some of Scotland's leading visitor attractions in the area, and the introduction of a riverbus service, the area is also well placed for the more general tourist market.
- The river continues to be the home for shipbuilding in the area, with significant defence contracts taking place at BAE's shipyards in Scotstoun and Govan.
- Clyde Waterfront offers extensive potential for investment in office space, hotel opportunities, and residential developments
Our vision for the Clyde is to develop a vibrant, thriving River Clyde with people and communities at its heart. We are already well on the way to realising the vision. Be a part of the vision - invest in Clyde Waterfront.
Assistance and Support For New Business Investors
The biggest regeneration project ever undertaken in Scotland, Clyde Waterfront will have a major impact on the future prosperity of the country. The project brings together the public and private sectors to rejuvenate a 20km (13 miles) stretch of land along the River Clyde.
The strategic partners behind Clyde Waterfront are the Scottish Government, Glasgow City Council, Renfrewshire Council, West Dunbartonshire Council and Scottish Enterprise. The project has been accorded National Priority status and is a key driver of Scotland's economic development in the 21st century.
The projections indicate that around 50,000 new jobs will be created in the area by 2025.
