Limavady Borough Council has been helping rural business for over five years via a range of programmes which directly benefit small businesses in the area, such as the Business Development Programme.
This and other programmes have helped SMEs in the area to look at how they do business now and how they can do it better in the future. Limavady used to have one of the lowest number of business starts; now it has one of the highest.
The area also benefits from a sound transport infrastructure; Derry City Airport is only twelve miles away, and the drive to either airport in Belfast takes less then an hour and a half which in turn facilitates economic development in the area.
