Key Competitive Attractions
Carrickfergus is strategically situated within the greater Belfast area, Northern Ireland`s key economic hub, and provides access to key gateways by air (Belfast International and George Best City airports) and by sea (Port of Belfast and Port of Larne) all of which are within 30 minutes drive. It is also served by a well developed motorway and rail infrastructure.
The Borough has three large industrial zones, comprising:
- Carrickfergus Industrial Centre
- Kilroot Industrial Park
- Trooperslane Industrial Estate
Collectively, they offer over 400 acres of zoned land, with large and small units. Consequently, Carrickfergus is the preferred location for a range of blue chip companies from the Die Casting, Distribution, Electronics, Energy and Mineral production sectors.
