St. Helen's has undergone several regeneration programmes over the last few years to its communications infrastructure, and physical appearance, including the George Street Quarter regeneration programme. It offers high quality of life with an abundance of sport, leisure and culture activities, and excellent communications:
Road Infrastructure:
- The M6 motorway can be reached via Junction 23 at Haydock.
- The M62 motorway can be reached via Junction 7 at Rainhill Stoops.
- The M57 motorway can be reached via Junction 2 at Prescot.
- The M58 is several miles north of St.Helens.
Rail Infrastructure:
- St Helens Central serves as the town's main railway station, and has recently undergone a major £6 million redevelopment.
Air infrastructure:
- Liverpool John Lennon Airport is next-door, and Manchester Airport is approximately 25 miles away
