Cheshire East Council - Development Projects
Following the Local Government Review, Cheshire East Council was formed on the 1 April 2009 and has a number of exciting, major regeneration projects taking place across the Cheshire East area.
The Landscape service delivers specialist landscape and urban design input to a variety of urban, countryside and industrial regeneration projects in the Borough, including town centre schemes, canal-side projects, access routes, landscape heritage and conservation, and large-scale projects such as park restoration.
Through partnerships with many local stakeholders, including town and parish councils and other local partners in the Borough, several townscape environmental improvements have been conducted in the Cheshire East borough, some of which are still under development.
We are renovating heritage sites, encouraging the conservation of our beautiful woodlands and countryside, and regenerating our town centres, rail and road infrastructures, to improve visitor attractions and boost the tourism industry, as well as improve quality of living and working in the area.
