We do this by encouraging and supporting local enterprise, supporting our local businesses to expand and create new jobs, and ensuring that our local residents have the high skill levels which competitive business require.
Since the launch of Hillingdon's first Sustainable Economy Strategy in September 2005, a taskforce made up of key partners including BAA Heathrow, Brunel University, Business Link in London, Hillingdon Chamber of Commerce, Learning Skills Council, Jobcentre Plus, Uxbridge College & West London Working have been implementing a range of initiatives to support Hillingdon's aspirations for a thriving economy.
