Major residential regeneration projects are ongoing at Durand Close, Carshalton, due to be completed by 2014. The regeneration includes the redevelopment of a number of other associated sites within the Carshalton area. 

Sutton is connected into the major motorway network via the A217 road and the M25 orbital motorway at Junction 8. The M25 edges the south of the borough, and the A24 road passes through the north western part of the borough, providing excellent connections to the rest of London and the surrounding areas.
