Forest Heath covers 144 square miles of mixed landscape from chalk downland, ideal for the home of horseracing and the bloodstock industry, to the fens and clay downland, apt for agricultural activities. The brecks are enveloped by Thetford Forest, the largest lowland forest in Britain, and is a hub for forestry and recreational activities.
There are two major United States Air Force bases in Forest Heath, located at Lakenheath and Mildenhall, which significantly generate business for a wide variety of local firms. High Technology industries, Light Engineering and Service Industries are all growing sectors in the area.
