North Norfolk District is a large rural area spanning 373 square miles, with 45 miles of North Sea coastline stretching between Holkham and Horsey, and landscapes recognised as Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the North Norfolk Heritage Coast and the Broads. For these reasons the Tourism industry is strong and varied in the District, offering three traditional seaside resorts in Cromer, Mundesley, and Sheringham, whilst Wells Hoveton is an important centre for Broads-based tourism.
Other major sectors in the area are Manufacturing and Agriculture. Most of the District’s primary settlements have small industrial estates, with a concentration of manufacturing businesses in Fakenham and North Walsham.
