There are two universities located within Cambridge:
The University of Cambridge; One of the oldest universities in the world, and one of the largest in the United Kingdom. Cambridge has a world-wide reputation for excellence and the high quality of research undertaken across science and arts subjects. Medicine, materials, telecommunications, ICT and physics are all areas where Cambridge continues to be at the forefront of modern developments.
Graduates from the University of Cambridge have together accumulated over sixty Nobel Prizes. There are over 11,000 undergraduates and 5,500 postgraduate students making up the total student population.
Anglia Ruskin University; Anglia Ruskin began as the Cambridge School of Art in 1858. Today, Anglia Ruskin maintains prominence with a variety of specialist facilities including:

Anglia Ruskin is rated 86th in the Times Higher Education Supplement. In July 2010, Anglia Ruskin was rated 10th in the Green League of British Universities compiled by People and Planet.
