Luton - Universities & Research
The University of Bedfordshire is based in Luton and Bedford. The Luton campus recently completed a major £34m redevelopment programme. The university has more than 19,000 students and is one of the fastest-growing universities in the UK. The Business School is the largest in the region with 4,000 students and more than 100 teaching and research staff.
The university's Knowledge Hub offers tailored business support to organisations of all sizes, as well as a range of training and development opportunities for businesses and individuals. The Knowledge Hub tailors business training, R&D and knowledge networking to companies and organisations operating across the area.
The University of Bedfordshire is the highest-climbing university according to The Times Good University Guide 2010, and our excellent colleges serve the area with campuses in Dunstable and Luton both offering courses with a strong professional and vocational focus.
Luton is in the middle of the UK’s knowledge economy - and as part of the Oxford2Cambridge ‘innovation arc’, it is participating in joint efforts for high-tech business development, research and training. The world-renowned Cranfield University is also on our doorstep.
