Rate Relief is granted to some charities, not-for-profit organisations, and businesses in designated rural areas.

Venture & Equity Capital

Business that invest in energy-saving equipment don’t just reduce their business costs, they can also reduce their taxes, thanks to Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECAs).

The ECA scheme for energy-saving equipment and technologies is an incentive for businesses to invest in energy-saving resources specified on the Energy Technology List (ETL), administered by the Carbon Trust for the Government.

The scheme allows businesses to benefit from 100% tax relief on their qualifying capital expenditure in the first year. Businesses can write off their total cost of equipment against taxable profits in the year of purchase, which can significantly improve cash flow.
