Siemens employs 16,915 people in the UK, and has announced that it is going to relocate its gas turbine services and overhaul workshop to a new site in Lincoln.
"The proposed move will bring major benefits to the business through rationalisation and consolidation of our geographic footprint. The new facility will bring together the majority of our service operations in Lincoln on to one site that will deliver clear business benefits, as well as create a world class facility to deliver a first class service to our customers".
