North West Leicestershire is in the heart of the National Forest in the centre of the country. The District is home to the East Midlands Airport and has direct access to the M1 motorway from junction 22 – 24a.
Partly because of its accessibility, the District has proved attractive to inward investors, and has seen high levels of employment growth. The county’s high skills levels, and Council-owned commercial property portfolio of over 95 properties also contribute to its favourable business environment.

Nottingham, Stoke-on-Trent, and Birmingham are within an hour's drive, Manchester International Airport is within 2 hours' drive, and Luton less than 90 minutes' drive.
North West Leicestershire is home to the East Midlands Airport, with flights connecting you to the rest of the UK and parts of Europe. The airline BMI (British Midland) is also headquartered in Donington Hall.
