The West Mediterranean region of Turkey is constituted by the Antalya, Burda and Isparta provinces. The region has an attractive climate, and is strategically located for access to Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Antalya is world famous for its golden beaches, and attracts approximately 10 million visitors annually. Isparta and Burdur also have famous historical and cultural sights.
In addition, rich natural resources such as trees and fertile fields provide raw materials which are used in the manufacturing industry. Cut flowers, apples, cereal and marble are all major industries in the West Mediterranean region.
