Linkoping is Sweden's fifth largest city with approximately 145,000 inhabitants. Located in the East of Sweden, it is within easy travelling distance from Stockholm and Gothenburg.
International flights go from both Linkoping Airport and nearby Norrkoping Airport to destinations such as Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Munich and Helsinki. Also present in the region is Skavsta Airport, which is Ryanair's Scandinavian hub and serves 40 international destinations.
Linkoping has a variety of business sectors with a large number of small and medium sized companies; however there is a focus on the IT, R&D and automotive sectors. The largest company in the municipality is Saab, other major employers are Ericsson, Swedish Meats and Cloetta.
