Madrid Emprende is the Economic Development Agency for the City of Madrid, created by the Madrid City Council. The City of Madrid is Spain's largest and capital city, with a population of 3.3 million in the city alone, extending to nearly 6 million within its metropolitan area. Despite its modern infrastructure, it has preserved the character of its historic quarters.
Madrid is one of Europe's highest recipients of FDI for several reasons:
