e-Promo was created by the Council to fulfill three objectives: promote L'Hospitalet, facilitate economic development, and support local companies.

The Autoritat del Transport Metropolita transport authority manages services in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, contributing to L'Hospitalet's importance as a transport hub. The city benefits from 17 metro stations, two railway stations, two tram stations, and close proximity to Barcelona Seaport and Airport.
L'Hospitalet is home to numerous major companies, many of which are headquartered here, including Spanish airline, Spanair. The city also benefits from numerous information and training centres with modern facilities.
