Teruel is situated in the Aragon region of Eastern Spain, and is the capital of the Teruel Province. Since becoming the recipient of a large investment in 1999 into modern communications infrastructure, the town has transformed.
The "Teruel exists" campaign was created to incite greater recognition and investment into the town and the Teruel Province. A new motorway has been built connecting Teruel to major cities such as Zaragoza and Sagunto, making it more accessible.
Teruel is best known for its rich history and architecture, archaeological discoveries of dinosaur remains, stunning scenery, and its thriving tourism industry.
