The districts of Raska and Moravica are located in southwestern and central Serbia. The region includes the cities of Kraljevo, Novi Pazar and Cacak. The combined population of the two districts is 531,022.
Significant industries include paper production, electric home appliances, tools for metal-working, non-metals, forestry, chemicals, thermal technical appliances and medical devices & equipment.
Raska is also a tourist centre with valuable cultural and historical monuments and spas. In addition, the district has significant ore and mineral deposits. There are good conditions for the development of agriculture, particularly in the Moravica district.
