The municipality and city of Krusevac is the administrative centre of the Rasina district, centrally located in Serbia. The population of the municipality is estimated at 131,368.
Approximately 92% of the working population is employed in either manufacturing, trade, construction or transport. The most important sectors are chemicals, mechanics, wood, food and textiles. A total of 5,280 companies are registered as operating in Krusevac (2011), of which 99% are small to medium sized companies.
Krusevac is home to a business incubator office park designed to support entrepreneurs and SMEs. The incubator offers tenants rental prices below market level, business counselling and training, and financial and technological support. In addition, 670 ha of land has been set aside for industrial development.
