Vilnius county is Lithuania’s largest region in both surface area and population, boasting a beautiful landscape, strong cultural heritage, recreational resources and a wealth of varied industrial activity.
The region boasts three designated UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Old Town of Vilnius, the Archaeological Locality of Kernave, and the Geodesic Band of Struve.
Vilnius County has many universities and colleges, which produce a strong and skilled workforce, renowned for their creative and innovative thinking. The region’s key industrial strengths are in the sciences, culture and sport resources, public services and administration, all of which offering excellent investment potential.
Vilnius is home to two historical capitals - Kernave and Trakai, and it’s current capital city – Vilnius city is the administrative, industrial, logistics and educational nucleus of Lithuania.
