A region of breathtaking natural beauty, the Border Region stretches from the West Coast to the East Coast, and has a population exceeding 432,500 people.
The main sectors are food production, ICT, financial services, and a diversity of manufacturing and engineering activities. The region has experienced significant growth in the ICT sector, particularly in the Northwest, as well as in financial services, mainly in the Northeast.
There are many indigenous companies in the region, particularly in the food production, engineering and construction industries, reflecting a strong entrepreneurial tradition. The region welcomes foreign investment, and offers a strategic border location, benefitting from exceptional business linkages, which will continue to offer excellent opportunities for the Region in future.

Assistance and Support For New Business Investors
The Border Regional Authority is one of eight Regional Authorities created to provide a regional level of government in Ireland.
The Authority does not deliver funds or public services directly, but is responsible for promoting the region, addressing development / investment needs, and facilitating collaboration among governmental, business and academic communities.
