Seine-et-Marne Development - Infrastructure
Connections By Road
France's road network spreads out from Paris and links the capital to all other French and mainland Europe's economic centres. Seine-et-Marne is served by five of France's motorways, including the Francilienne (A104) - Paris's outer ring road, the A1 (to the North), the A4 (to the east), the A5 (to the south east) and the A6 (to the south). In terms of access to road networks, Seine-et-Marne is pretty much the best location in France.

Connections By Rail
France's high speed train network is quite simply the best. Across its numerous high speed train (TGV) stations, Paris is a maximum of a couple of hours away from over 145 French and European destinations. Three of these high-speed train (TGV) stations, including France`s largest rail hub, are situated in Seine-et-Marne: Marne-la-Vallée Disneyland, Charles-de-Gaulle Airport and Melun.
The Eurostar link between Paris and the UK makes London accessible in just over two hours. The Paris region rail network also serves Seine-et-Marne.
Hours to Paris: Up to 0.5Connections By Air
In terms of airport links, Seine & Marne is home to Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport - Europe's leading freight and postal hub, as well as continental Europe's most important passenger hub. Seine-et-Marne provides easy access to Paris's other two international airports, Orly and Le Bourget, which, when combined with Paris-CDG, serve 530 different destinations across 135 countries.

Connections By Freight Ports
Seine-et-Marne is right next to Paris, so it is just a couple of hours to the northern coast of France, with Calais and Le Havre to either side not taking much longer to reach. The area is also within easy reach of the Beligian and Dutch international freight ports. The access to ports, promximity to Paris and position on the main highway between southern and northern Europe are some of the reasons why the Seine-et-Marne has become a logistics hub.
Distance to Le Havre: Up to 200 kilometers (Up to 2 hours)Broadband / ICT Facilities
Seine-et-Marne has invested €74 million in its fibre optic network, taking it to the forefront of French broadband service provision. The high-speed network has 100% coverage (fibre optic and WIMAX) and is available to all homes and businesses.
The investment represents:
- Over 1100km of additional fibre
- 346 business parks and 836 public institutions
- 14 additional WIMAX stations - more to come
This development ensures a minimum of 2MB connection for all businesses in the region, as well as reliability, low installation costs and the ability to take advantage of services such as video conferencing, video surveillance, data storage, and mobile applications.
