Paris Region Economic Development Agency (PREDA)
Key Competitive Attractions
The Paris Region Economic Development Agency (PREDA) was created to match business needs with the region’s economic opportunities. We work in many ways with new businesses to help them set up, develop and succeed in the Paris Region.
One of the Agency's main missions is to identify foreign companies with plans to relocate or expand internationally, approach them and convince the decision-makers to choose Paris Region. A team of specialist consultants carries out targeted marketing campaigns throughout the year, all focused on Paris Region's sectors of excellence.
The Agency has always worked to attract new short- and long-term investments to boost development potential and create jobs. From the outset PREDA's twin priorities have been to promote the region's attractiveness and its economic and technological image, and to support companies wishing to locate here.
A total of 37,777 new businesses were set up in Paris Region during the second quarter of 2010.
PREDA’s 5 key aims:
- Promote the economic attractiveness of the region abroad,
- Attract foreign investors to the Paris Region,
- Coordinate the marketing of regional opportunities,
- Help investors prior to and during their location to the Paris Region,
- Support areas facing economic changes.
