Europe/ France/ Invest in France

From your first contact with the IFA, whether in France or abroad, the agency will offer personalised support and assistance for every part of your project.

France offers a wide range of national, regional and local financial support including loans, subsidies and tax exemptions. These aim to support business start-ups, job creation, investment and business development. Each financial benefit has its own eligibility criteria, which depends mainly on the project type and location, and the company size. There is a maximum allowable limit for projects receiving financial aid from more than one source.

The IFA can help you to find the government support that is most suited to your project and assist you during the application process. With its many partners and contacts, the IFA can put you in touch with public agencies that will be able to offer you extra guidance for your project.

Financial Assistance/Grants

The IFA can identify your eligibility to receive government financial aid and will find the national, regional and local support that may be available for your project.

Incentives, Tax and Others

In recent years, France has been reducing its corporate tax, making it one of the most attractive European countries for business. France is now considered as the second most investor-friendly country in Europe (KPMG/EVCA research).

Some benefits of recent reforms on the French tax system:

  • Since 2008, France has had the lowest research tax credit in Europe.
  • France has reduced its corporate tax rate from 33.33% to 15% for income from intangible property.
  • Innovative New Companies (Jeune Entreprise Innovante – JEI) are exempt from tax, social security and research tax credit in their first year of business.
  • Since 2007, capital gains on the sale of equity transfers have been exempt from tax.

The annulment of local business tax on productive investments in January 2010 has and will continue to have noticeable effects on local industry, which will in turn make it more attractive for capital intensive investments.

IFA experts can give you all the information on tax that is relevant to your project. Our many partners, including financial institutions and auditing firms, offer their knowledge to provide you a professional and personalised service.

Business Accommodation Assistance

The IFA can help you find the property that is most suitable for your investment.

  IFAservices include:

  • Researching suitable sites for your project
  • Organising site visits with local partners
  • Putting you in touch with innovation clusters
  • Helping you during the entire process of setting up in a Brownfield site

Mergers and Acquisitions

IFA experts ensure that foreign businesses are well integrated into the local economy by introducing your project to potential partners, sub-contractor and suppliers.

In addition, IFA can put you in touch with national, regional and local authorities or representatives, who will be able to give you extra support for your project.

Other

IFA supervises your project during every step, in order to ensure its smooth running.

The agency offers a highly professional and personalised service and is ready to offer any additional support that you may require.
