Vukovar-Srijem County is the easternmost county in Croatia, and has the biggest Croatian river port on the Danube, located in Vukovar City.
Vinkovci railway station is the main railway junction in eastern Croatia and the country’s largest after the capital, Zagreb. Rail connections run north into Hungary, east toward Belgrade in Serbia; south into Bosnia and Herzegovina, and west to Zagreb.
