Karlovac County is situated in central Croatia, an hour’s drive from Zagreb, a 90-minute drive from Rijeka – Croatia’s largest port, and a 2-hour drive from the Slovenian capital, Ljubljana. As such, the county is well positioned to export into central and southern Europe.
Karlovacs main industries are food and drink production and tourism. Its food and drink industry is diverse; businesses range from family-run farms to cooperatives, SME’s and large-scale manufacturers. Produce includes honey, cheese and wine. Larger companies produce meat, milk, flour, beer and soft drinks.
