NERDA is the regional development agency for Northeast Bosnia and Herzegovina, (B&H) whose main objective is strengthening, organising and promoting economic development in Northeast B&H.
Northeast B&H is renowned for its ancient wood and metal-working industries, which have been complemented in recent years by growing technology and IT sectors.
The region boasts a wealth of economic centres, the largest of which is Tuzla, the B&H’s third largest city after Sarajevo, and Banja Luka.
The region poses great potential, with aims to establish and develop business and investment zones at the Lipnica Business Development Center & Incubator, covering 120,000 sq m. In addition, the Center of Modern Technologies - BIT Centre Tuzla, invites investment projects in ICT activities.
NERDA provides information on financial support, as well as various other personalised services.
CREDO is a project funded by the Swedish Agency for International Development and Cooperation (SIDA), designed to facilitate competitive regional economic development in Northeast Bosnia & Herzegovina, and carried out by NERDA.
Assistance and Support For New Business Investors
In partnership with Volksbank bh, NERDA implemented a Guarantee Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises, in 2008, assuring a highly attractive interest rate for SMEs - 6.625 %.
The total deposited funds are to the sum of 506,000 KM, with potentially up to 1,771,000 KM available.
