Gambia offers attractive incentive packages including exemptions from corporate income tax for up to ten years in key priority sectors. The sectors in question include agriculture (crops, dairy, poultry, meat processing, floriculture, horticulture, agro-processing, and tanning), fishery (fish and shrimps farming, industrial fishing and fish processing), tourism (eco-tourism, hotels, resorts and marinas), energy (renewable energy sources and liquefied petroleum gases), forestry, minerals and financial services.
Investments should be in excess of USD $250,000 to be eligible for incentives.
In addition, businesses exporting up to 80% of its products may be eligible for export processing zone status, involving a number of tax exemptions.
