How & Why locations4business Began
We started by collecting basic information from every single economic development agency in the UK - 498 in total – about what their area has to offer investors. Now we have moved on to providing the same level of comprehensive and searchable information for other European countries, whilst also developing similar sites for the Middle East and Africa.
There is no other website like locations4business and no other business tool which brings together the same set of statistics for every area in a country and then allows comparison of this data in a confidential and secure environment.
The first port of call for any company - anywhere in the world - that wants to research suitable potential locations is the internet. Our site is just as useful to a company currently in or close to your area and looking to expand or relocate, as it is to a company from overseas. Therefore, locations4business occupies a unique and powerful position, filling a huge gap in the marketplace.

We have recently launched our Business Information and Features & News sections, which – once full - will complete our mission of becoming a one-stop shop for companies looking to set up, relocate or expand.
Our Business Information sections (we have them for different countries as well as Europe as a whole) provide in-depth information and data on doing business in whichever country you are interested in. This information is supplied by experts in their field, such as international accountants and lawyers, as well as pointing our visitors to further useful resources.
The Features & News sections (we also have these for different countries as well as Europe as a whole) keep you up-to-date with new developments, events, business networks and any other news in the inward investment industry.
Our Team
The founder and Managing Director of locations4business is Richard Thomas, an experienced publisher and serial media entrepreneur who founded the first magazine for foreign direct investment in Europe, Corporate Location, before selling it in the '90s. Richard recently recognised the need for an online inward investment resource, and founded locations4business in 2009.
The site was launched in February 2010 and the team has continued to expand rapidly since the company’s conception. Working with experts in web editorial, online marketing, PPC and search engine optimization, we are continually improving the site’s functionality and content.
